Barrel #107

Nose has notes of honeycomb, maple, banana and toasted oak. Taste is light and buttery up front, with cocoa and minerally molasses notes that transition to tart and tangy, with a slight leather character. Finish is cooling with a lingering tongue tingle.

Volatile nose, with prominent toasted oak notes and hints of black cherry. Honey, vanilla and green apple flavors up front, then tannins assert themselves. Finish is spicy, with both notes of anise and sharp cinnamon.

Green apple and tart malt nose. Nutty and rich initial flavors with toasted oak and brown sugar overtones. Finish is slightly cooling, with a slight hint of peat and a lingering mid-palate spiciness.

Nose is that of dried malt and toasted oak with tangy notes. Semi-sweet initial flavor, with notes of clover honey and spicy cinnamon. Mouthfeel is full and thick but dries quickly; finish initially shows peat but lingers as sweet oak.

We weren't lucky enough to put together tasting notes for this unique barrel, but our friends over at Liquor Mart tell us that it features toasted oak, caramel and butterscotch undertones.
